Keep in Touch

The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2017 is now closed for entries, with our team of pan-Commonwealth judges working hard to read and assess every single entry. Results will be announced in August 2017, but in the meantime there are lots of ways you can keep in touch with the competition.

Follow us on Social Media

The competition is on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, all @CWEssayComp.

Record yourself reading your essay

Bring your piece to life and create a short recording of yourself reading your entry. This can be as simple as reciting a few lines of your poem recorded on a mobile phone, or as complicated as a production of your script. Send any recording you make to competitions@thercs.org and we may post it on our Social Media channels.

Show us your peaceful place

This year’s competition focused on A Commonwealth for Peace, a message that will continue throughout the year. Take a photo of your peaceful place and email it to us at competitions@thercs.org. We will post these on Social Media throughout the year.

Follow the judging process

Three of our volunteer judges have agreed to document their judging process through video journals. We’ll post one video from each judge every week on our Social Media accounts between 15 May and 26 June 2017. This is your chance to see what it’s really like behind the scenes.

You can also stay in touch with The Royal Commonwealth Society on Facebook and Twitter and by joining the network
