Entry Deadline: The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition - 1 June, 2019

The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) 2019 is now open for entries on the theme, 'A Connected Commonwealth', calling upon young people to consider how they can work to use cultural, technological and environmental connections for positive change across the Commonwealth.

The QCEC is a unique opportunity for young people aged 18 and under across the Commonwealth to share their views, experiences and thoughts on key issues of the day; entries are accepted in all forms of creative writing from poems to essays to letters. It recognises the achievement of young writers, celebrates creative writing and is an excellent tool for developing key skills in areas such as critical thinking and English language.

For 2019, the RCS wants to hear more from all corners of the Commonwealth regardless of background, region or education level. All stories are important and all stories deserve to be heard.

Share your ideas, celebrate your story and write for a better world. Entries are accepted through an online platform until 1 June, 2019.
