The brand new NLC Commonwealth Circle would like to cordially invite you to come to the Canadian Election Night Social to be held at the club. The NLC has long historical ties with Canada dating back to when the club first opened in 1882. The club contained and contains notable Canadian members such as John Hamilton-Gordon (7th Governor-General of Canada), Arthur Boyer (Canadian Liberal Senator 1909-22), and Peter Stollery (Canadian Liberal MP 1972-81, Senator 1981-2010). During World War I, the clubhouse was used to provide accommodation to Canadian troops.
It is because of this transatlantic link the NLC shares with Canada that the NLC Commonwealth Circle is hosting a get together where Brits, Canadians and all can discuss and socialise on the eve of the election. So come and join us for drinks and food at the bar and/or dining room as we enjoy the evening with good company and great conversation.
If you would like to attend please RSVP by emailing Mrs Louisa Pooley
